Dirk Althaus

Dr.-Ing. Dirk Althaus

Managing Director

Dirk Althaus is responsible for the development and implementation of new methods as well as for the further development of the reliability forecast model at the IQZ as the Technical Director. He is an expert in the segments field data acquisition and analysis as well as the functional safety analysis of complex systems. Mr. Althaus is deputy head of the working group for “Risk management and reliability” in the regional Bergische association of the VDI in an honorary capacity.
Since 2012, Mr. Althaus has held a lectureship for “Functional safety” at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Faculty D School of Safety Engineering.

Andy

Dr.-Ing. Andreas Braasch

Managing Director

Andreas Braasch is in charge of the sales, project planning and corporate development areas at the IQZ. Apart from field data acquisition and reliability forecasts, Mr. Braasch is also a specialist in combining safety and reliability analyses with economic problems (warranty costs, supply-chain management etc.). Mr. Braasch is head of the working group for “Risk management and reliability” in the regional Bergische association of the VDI in an honorary capacity. He is also involved in the Maschinenbaunetzwerk Bergisches Land.
Mr. Braasch has a teaching assignment at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal on the topic of “Reliability planning”. He is also active on a regional and national level in working groups on the topic of “Autonomous Driving”.

Marco

Dr.-Ing. Marco Schlummer

Managing Director

Marco Schlummer is in charge of the functional safety department at the IQZ. He can draw on more than 10 years of experience at famous automotive OEMs and suppliers. He followed the development of ISO 26262 from its very beginnings. He has also been an expert in the field of the functional safety of machine tools/mechanical engineering for many years. Mr. Schlummer is deputy head of the working group for “Risk management and reliability” in the regional Bergische association of the VDI in an honorary capacity.
Since 2012, Mr. Schlummer has held a lectureship for “Functional safety” at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Faculty D School of Safety Engineering.

Meyna

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Arno Meyna

Managing Director

Arno Meyna is responsible for the fields of basic research and university cooperations at the IQZ. With more than 40 years of professional experience in safety and reliability engineering, he is one of Germany’s leading research scientists in this field. Apart from his work at the IQZ, Mr. Meyna also holds the Chair of Safety Theory and Traffic Engineering at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal.

Dr.-Ing. Jan Hauschild

Head of the Hamburg Office

Jan Hauschild manages the IQZ branch office in Hamburg. Apart from developing new and improving existing services in the fields of renewable energies, medical engineering and aviation, he is also responsible for research, sales and project planning.
Thanks to his education and professional experience (automotive industry, rail technology, power engineering), Mr. Hauschild is a specialist for reliability, safety and risks assessments as well as data acquisition and analysis.
